Entering the requested passenger information
Completing your booking
The discount amount will be displayed in your booking summary before payment.
4. What is discounted?
Where permitted by applicable regulations, the statutory discount is applied to:
- Base fare and Admin fee
- The first checked-in baggage for each passenger purchased during booking
The scope of discounted services may change in accordance with regulatory requirements.
5. Eligibility verification
5.1. During booking
When requesting a discount, you declare that all passengers meet the eligibility requirements for the selected category.
Providing incorrect or misleading information may result in loss of entitlement to the discount.
5.2. Verification before travel
Resident discount eligibility may be verified:
- Electronically through Spanish government systems, where available; or
- Manually at the airport during the transition period or if online verification is unsuccessful.
Large Family discount eligibility may be verified:
- At the airport based on the supporting documentation provided and presented by the passenger.
Even when online verification is available, passengers should travel with all required supporting documentation.
5.3. Airport document checks
In certain cases, eligibility cannot be or is not confirmed through the online validation system.
If this happens:
- You may receive a check-in confirmation instead of a boarding pass
- You must visit the check-in desk at the airport
- You must present the required supporting documents
- A valid boarding pass will only be issued after successful verification
5.4. Important
A check-in confirmation is not a boarding pass. Passengers who are required to undergo document verification must complete the process before proceeding to security or boarding. Failure to do so may result in denied boarding.
5.5. Documents you may need to present
Depending on the discount claimed, passengers may be asked to provide evidence of eligibility.
Original, valid and legally required documentation must be presented upon request.
If your eligibility cannot be verified, Wizz Air will require payment of the difference between the discounted fare and the applicable standard fare. A boarding pass may only be issued after payment has been completed. If
the fare difference is not paid, boarding will be denied.
Wizz Air reserves the right to refuse transport where eligibility requirements are not satisfied and will recover any discount applied in error.
6. Important booking rules
6.1. All passengers must have the same eligibility
To apply a Spanish statutory discount: All passengers on the booking must be eligible and all passengers must qualify for the same discount type. Mixed bookings are not permitted.
6.2. Flexible Travel Partner bookings
For residents wish to apply the subsidy discount flexible Travel Partner bookings are not permitted as all passengers included in the booking must be identified and must qualify for the same discount type.
If passenger eligibility cannot be established for all travellers, the subsidy cannot be applied.
6.3. Flight change
Rebooking in case of a disruption: You can rebook your flight free of charge to another Wizz Air flight operating on the same route within 14 days before or 30 days after the scheduled departure date of the original flight. During
rebooking, only the travel date can be changed. The original departure and arrival airports cannot be modified. Previously purchased WIZZ services will be included (seats subject to availability). You have the possibility to modify
the not changed flight for free as well. Please note that this action is not reversible.
6.4. Name change
Name changes are not permitted on bookings where a Spanish Resident or Large Family discount has been applied.
7. Data verification
Where required by law, passenger information may be shared with competent Spanish authorities and government verification systems for the purpose of confirming eligibility for travel discounts.
8. Legal notice
Spanish resident and large family discounts are granted and administered in accordance with applicable Spanish legislation and regulatory requirements. Eligibility is determined by the competent authorities and must be demonstrated by the passenger upon request. Wizz Air reserves the right to verify entitlement, request supporting documentation, refuse the application of a discount where eligibility cannot be established, and recover any discount applied incorrectly or unlawfully. Procedures and documentation requirements may change without prior notice where required by law, governmental authorities, or technical verification systems.
